I have been learning English with Vadim for three months. He has taught me many of interesting fixed and colloquial expressions in language, except grammar and boring vocabulary of course.

My lessons with Vadim are absolutely new every time, because of his energetic individuality and because he is such a curious and versatile person and an interesting conversationalist. He supplies me with topics and podcasts and especially with my beloved movies with subs. In one thing I am absolutely positive, he is the best teacher I have ever known.

Hello, my name is Andrey and I am a recent EnglishRepublic resident. I’ve been studying English with Vadim for a year. He is an exceptionally talented teacher who provides the students with a stimulating, challenging and fun English.

The most valuable aspect, in my opinion, is that everything is extremely practical and interesting. My goal was to speak English. I’m no longer worried about speaking English. I can speak. I’d like to thank Vadim for that.

Is there joy in repetition?

If you think of any word and say it to yourself over-and-over again, eventually it loses all meaning and just becomes a random sound in your head. Parrots can speak perfect English, without having any idea about the meaning of what they are saying. The ability to repeat words, does not also mean you have the ability to use those words in meaningful conversation.

I was watching a TV program recently about the construction of the first Russian Arctic shuttle tanker, the “Vasily Dinkov”. The ship was being built by the Samsung corporation in Korea, however some important parts of the ship’s engine/motor had to be shipped from Russia. Because of this, they had to send a special team from Russia to help with the installation. The interesting thing about this was, the leader of the Russian construction team had been promoted and sent to Korea, mainly because of his ability to speak English!

This is a great example of how English can open up doors of opportunity for you!
